Methane ‘Spike” on Mars Confirmed - Could be a Sign of Aliens
Every time NASA makes an announcement about Mars, an army of UFO fans jumps the gun and assumes it’s going to be little green men or at the very least alien microbes. But a Mars orbiter has confirmed the Curiosity Rover’s famous discovery of methane gas – a chemical linked to life.
Now scientists believe they might know where it came from. Analysis of data from the Mars Express orbiter shows that there was one ‘spike’ of methane gas – and it may have come from beneath the ground, perhaps from melting permafrost. This does not mean, of course, that there definitely are flatulent aliens on the Red Planet – but it’s a potential sign that Mars once had conditions suitable for life, or that microbes once existed there.
